T R A N S F I G U R A C I Ó N
The fourteen compositions of this double LP belong to
four different albums of the work of the Argentine mystic,
essayist, producer, multi-instrumentalist and composer
Daniel Irigoyen; resident in Hamburg, Germany.
* As a singer-songwriter, in his texts he has been
concerned to highlight the arrogance and hypocrisy of the
mercantilist society, not as a political protest, but as a
poetic message of what he has in common with other men,
what all men would sing if they had a poet inside.
Attracted by "mystical" issues rather than philosophical
ones, he conceives the divinity as the immobile motor of
the universe and the final cause of all things. Daniel was
born in Buenos Aires where he began his musical career
as a drummer, percussionist and singer-songwriter in the
late 1960s. At that time he was one of the pioneers of
"Rock Nacional" in Argentina, the first worldwide rock
music movement with lyrics in Spanish. * wikipedia.org
DANIEL SAYS: The immemorial voice of passions,
delusions, desires, fears, gods and devils, obsessions
and distractions, the voice of all the powers that inhabit
us and throw us out of ourselves, all that is reflected in
the music of what is given to me.
I come from Argentina, which is a country far away in
space, but very close to the European tradition and the
emotional culture of Latin Americans. In my case,
without serious problems of nationalist identity that
make me see my reality as separate from the world.
Thanks to the Angel I make music and write analogies to
wake myself up. Since my virginal arrival in the big city,
when The Beatles were already playing "A Hard Day's
Night”, the adventure of creating music and writing
utopias has been repeated to me for more than fifty years,
which has helped me in body and soul to pass the years
without the need to destroy myself for the Truth, if this
word has any meaning when speaking of men and their
changing nature in the masquerade ball of existence.
Faced with the enigma of the meaning of life, I am
incapable of wisdom, however, I have a great desire for
wisdom, because going grope like a blind man is very
promising. The search itself is always the find.
It can't fail.
The fragile, the precarious, the merciless,
the collapsing, is what most arouses my interest when it
comes to positioning myself.
Everything I preach in my music is an authentic cure for
my own use, a way to protect myself from the arbitrary
and the fatal where the false triumphs. Hence, publishing
my rhythmic, harmonic, melodic and thought obsessions
is an extraordinary relief for my ego and spirit.
Overwhelmed by the contradictions of the system,
to create today is to create dangerously. In my case,
the risk of a TRANSFIGURATION that leads to a
society reconciled with the BEING continues to be
the purpose of my work and the metaphysical
requirement of unity, to be understood, enjoyed
(I hope so) and enriched by your gaze.
Thank you very much then for accompanying me
for a while, on this intergalactic and musical
journey of my life by the Grace of the Lord.
