Daniel Irigoyen is a multifaceted artist. He plays several instruments, including drums, congas, guitar and piano, sings, arranges, produces and composes his own material. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1950. In 1968-69, he made his first recordings as a singer and composer, leading the indie rock group Los Mentales, one of the first pioneering bands in the history of Argentine rock. The long exile that took him away from his country at an early age did not prevent him from continuing to evolve as a musician and as a person. In his compositional works, he is surrounded by a strong, revealing ‘aura’ indicative of the emotional aesthetic calibre of what he offers.

In albums of magical recordings such as ‘Cuidando la memoria’ © 1997, ‘Sueños Peligrosos’ © 2010, ‘Circunstancias Terrenales’ © 2018 and ‘Omnipresente’ © 2022, philosophically, the Irigoyen cosmos makes itself felt in his rebellious, anti-establishment ‘preaching’. He preaches a lifelong commitment and a way of life in which  the world and all forms of expression are placed at the service of spiritual intention.

 PERFIL DEL ARTISTA 

Daniel Irigoyen is an Argentine musician, poet, writer, singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Germany, specialising in fusion and rhythm and blues of Afro-Latin American descent. He is dedicated to producing his own albums with special guests from the jazz and rock scene. 

Among the most important milestones in his European career are his participation as a member of jazz-rock, salsa, fusion and Latin jazz bands, accompanying singers on intercontinental tours and finally leading his own projects. In addition to being a versatile singer, composer, arranger, producer, and scholar of various instruments, he is a comprehensive thinker whose texts reflect elements of universal literature related to eternal truths.


Daniel Irigoyen es un músico, poeta, escritor, cantante y compositor multiinstrumentista argentino radicado en Alemania, especializado en fusión y rhythm and blues de ascendencia afrolatinoamericana, dedicado a producir sus propios álbumes con invitados especiales de la escena del jazz y el rock. 

Entre los hitos más importantes de su carrera europea se encuentran su participación como miembro de bandas de jazz-rock, salsa, fusión, grupos de latin-jazz, acompañando a cantantes en giras intercontinentales y finalmente liderando sus propios proyectos.

Además de ser un versátil cantante, compositor, arreglista, productor y estudioso de diversos instrumentos, es un pensador testamentario integral cuyos textos reflejan los elementos de una literatura universal relacionada con las verdades eternas.

SOBRE LA INMORTALIDAD VIRTUAL EN EL ARTE

Más allá de cualquier “exhibición” o exigencia de “éxito” para que el otro “te mire bien”, para mí estar aquí es una posibilidad de difundir mi trabajo de indagación espiritual a través de mi música.

Una forma de conectar con otros, valorando el tiempo limitado que todos tenemos atrapados en un cuerpo que sigue deteriorándose progresivamente a pesar de la sonrisa en un “selfie”.

Creas o no creas en un creador detrás del telón de la realidad, exista o no un propósito cósmico en la temporalidad de la vida, a pesar de cualquier trastorno neurótico estar vivo es algo maravilloso, los que continuamos curándonos con Arte, respeto a lo viviente y capacidad amorosa para la empatía, lo supimos desde el principio.

Entiendo que, además de maravillarnos ante el milagro de la existencia consciente, para nosotros, los MÚSICOS INDEPENDIENTES, la forma más honesta y significativa de trascendencia sigue siendo darnos a conocer como artistas.

Porque cuando séamos polvo de estrellas y miremos hacia el infinito, el posible impacto que hayamos tenido en los demás, las ondas de consecuencias que se hayan propagado a partir de nuestras acciones energéticas dentro y fuera de los escenarios, nos conferirán la inmortalidad de lo que se persigue en las redes.

Lo más fascinante es comprender que mi trabajo, mis ideas y toda la pasión invertida en la música de lo que me fue dado, persistirán hasta mucho después de mi muerte física.

Beyond any ‘show’ or demand for “success” so that others will ‘look favourably upon you’, for me, being here is an opportunity to spread my spiritual inquiry through my music.
A way to connect with others, valuing the limited time we all have trapped in a body that continues to deteriorate progressively despite the smile in a selfie.

Whether you believe in a creator behind the curtain of reality or not, whether there is a cosmic purpose in the temporality of life or not, despite any neurotic disorders, being alive is something wonderful. Those of us who continue to heal ourselves with art, respect for living things, and a loving capacity for empathy knew this from the beginning.

I understand that, in addition to marvelling at the miracle of conscious existence, for us INDEPENDENT MUSICIANS, the most honest and meaningful form of transcendence continues to be making ourselves known as artists.

Because when we become stardust and gaze into infinity, the potential impact we have had on others, the ripples of consequences that have spread from our energetic actions on and off stage, will grant us the immortality that is sought after on social media.

The most fascinating thing is to understand that my work, my ideas, and all the passion I invested in the music I was given will persist long after my physical death.

Las catorce composiciones de este doble LP pertenecen a cuatro álbumes diferentes de la obra del ensayista, productor, multiinstrumentista y compositor argentino Daniel Irigoyen; residente en Hamburgo, Alemania.  
Daniel nació en Buenos Aires donde comenzó su carrera musical como baterista, percusionista y cantautor a fines de la década de 1960. En ese momento fue uno de los pioneros del "Rock Nacional" en Argentina, el primer movimiento musical rock a nivel mundial con letras en español. * wikipedia.org

In my case, the risk of a TRANSFIGURATION that leads to a society reconciled with the BEING remains the purpose of my work and the metaphysical demand of unity, to be understood, enjoyed (I hope so) and enriched by your gaze. Thank you very much then for accompanying me for a while, in this intergalactic and musical journey of my life by the Grace of the Creator of all things.
